The fireplace is framed in 2x4 the next picture is what it will look like when it is done and covered with stone. After a long long delay I have got back to work on the reno. The fireplace is now covered and waiting $tone. No that wasn't a typo. And yes that is a 52" LCD TV on top of the fire place...It was a good boxing day sale ;)....Maybe if I didn't buy the TV I could afford the $tone. Oh well payday is coming.

I also started the crown molding in the livening room. Makes it look a lot nicer don't you think. Not that it didn't cause any swearing around here. While at the building supplier picking up the crown molding I asked one of their "experts" advice on installing it and should I screw it up and what type of screws should I use. He told me all I needed to do was use glue. I put up the first piece and before I had glue on the second the first one hit the floor. I went and got the box of 3" small head screws I picked up just in case. That was after I stopped swearing of course.

Thing is I had to get back to work on the house as my wife said she wants the living room finished the bathroom totally renoed and new doors and locks put on and the security system enhanced to include cameras.. And being a man that knows better I said...."yes dear"
