SIDE TRACKED
48 Bundles Has to be carried up this And placed on the ridge of this Got them all up here Because this is very bad

48 bundles of shingles on the lawn. 48 bundles of shingles. Take one up and lay it down. 47 bundles of shingles on th.... Oh! Hi didn't see you there ;)

This "little" job sidetracked me from the house upgrade. Remember back at the start I said the roof leaked. Will now that fine weather is here The roof has to be done. As you can see it is very very bad! I should note that I did not carry all them bundles {75lbs each} up to the roof myself. I hired a local young fellow to do that job. And he earned every cent I paid him.

Very very bad Old Roof Shingles Everywhere Old Roof Coming Off New Roof Going On
Once the shingles were up there I had no excuse but to get to work ripping the old off and putting the new on. Except for one little setback The job went well. What was the setback you ask? Willll I sort of shot myself in the leg with the nail gun. The nail went in and stuck in the bone. Didn't hurt much going in.... coming out was a whole other story;)
New Roof Almost Done Bigger Then It Looks 2nd Half DONE!
But none the less the job went forward As you can see the roof is almost done except for the peak and round the chimney. Since it called for rain I shopped work while it was still covered. And here You can see the second half of my old roof ready to be hauled away to the recycles. Funny thing as the day went on the roof seemed to get bigger.

DONE!! AND DONE!!! New Flashing
OMG It's Done! It was a job long overdue but now it's behind me and life can get back to normal again. It might be a few days since I update again as I'm taking a few days off for myself and a few more to catch up on some stuff around here that has been neglected. But we will get back at it soon.....OK Mary? <grin>

So that is what has been keeping me busy the past little while. It was a job long over due. Check back often to see how the job is progressing.
